Mac Heavener favors training and education that has practical value. His sales and management training materials have been translated and used on 5 continents. He has been an adjunct instructor for the University of Florida, University of North Florida, Florida Community College at Jacksonville; and a guest lecturer at the Emory University Graduate School of Business and on Leadership at Trinity Baptist College.

Mac received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida with proficiencies in real estate, finance and marketing. Following graduation, Mac served 6 years in the U.S. Army National Guard at the 111th Aviation Company in Jacksonville.

He began his career in real estate as a mortgage banker before opening his own real estate company in 1970. He has instructed at the Graduate Realtor® Institute for the Florida Association of Realtors®, and is a past president of the Jacksonville Board of Realtors MLS. Mac was honored with Realtor® Emeritus lifetime membership status by the National Association of Realtors®.
