October’s Must-Reads, Watches, Listens and More

Welcome to my October favorites! We are always on the lookout for new things to check out, so I wanted to share what I’ve been enjoying this month, from spooky Halloween activities to thought-provoking books. Let’s dive in!

What I’m excited about:

Trick-or-treating with my kids is always a highlight of October. We love exploring our neighborhood, but there are also so many fun events and activities happening around Jacksonville this year. From haunted houses and pumpkin patches to spooky parades and costume contests, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

What I’m reading:

I’m currently engrossed in “Traction” by Gino Wickman. This book has been a game-changer for understanding business growth and scaling. Wickman’s framework for creating a healthy and sustainable business is both insightful and practical.

What I just bought:

With hurricane season in full swing, I recently invested in a set of headlamps. They’re not only essential for emergency preparedness, but they’re also perfect for fun games of flashlight tag with the kids! You can grab a 3 pack at Costco.

What I’m watching:

Nothing is more relaxing than mindless action movies 😂 This month’s throwback evening watch… “The Rundown” on Netflix. It has it all: Dwayne Johnson, explosions, and a touch of humor. It’s a must-watch before it leaves Netflix.

What I’m listening to:

I’ve been enjoying the “Florida Business Minds” podcast. This podcast features interviews with local business leaders and entrepreneurs, providing valuable insights into the Jacksonville business scene.

What tech I’m using:

I’ve been experimenting with Perplexity AI, a powerful language model that can provide summaries of factual topics or create stories. It’s a fascinating tool that has endless possibilities.

I hope you find these recommendations enjoyable and informative! Reach out, we would love to know what you’re learning and loving this month!
